First class facility. The leasing agent I worked with, Joel Tapia, is very knowledgeable, prompt and professional. He took time to answer questions and made sure I had all of the information I needed to make an informed decision. Cortland is fortunate to have him as an employee.
Amazing community with such a sweet set of individuals in the office. We recently received our renewal for the third year and they are always so helpful in helping us work through our options and questions. We are very appreciative for the in person support.
My husband and I moved to these apartments (3.14 to 03.16), we were one the first to move here! we loved it. Unfortunately our departure was not as pleasant. Customer service from the office was very average to say the least. Waiting 5 min to be acknowledged when you walk into the office is not a good thing. We were also told they change the carpets after every year if you request it. We did not have to change ours after the first year since we kept it very clean for the most part. After two years and wanting a change, we decided to leave. We spent a whole day cleaning the apartment from top to bottom (the cabinets, the entire stove and oven inside, outside, and behind it, also the refrigerator) We left the apartment in pristine condition. 2 months later we received a move out bill of nearly $500. It was for a carpet replacement. Our efforts in reaching out to the property management to say this charge was absurd fell upon deaf ears sort to say. Yesterday my husband and went to go apply at a new apartment and they tell us we weren't approved because Lincoln sent us to collections for the carpet. Take a look for yourself of the condition of the apartment and carpet. Think twice before signing a lease here.
My wife and I have lived here a few years now and it’s been delightful. The team has always been polite and helpful. The service team is nice and informative and not to mention QUICK! We are happy with our experience here.
Update 1/6/2024:
Management here continues to be great. As you can see below, they are very responsive and take residents' concerns seriously, and work to resolve them as best as they are able.
Any issues we have continue to be with other residents not abiding by complex policies, but some of this has been mitigated over the last few months. For example, one of our neighbors hosts parties in their garage with the door open and blasts music from the garage well past midnight. After I posted the original review, management provided the number for the complex's security company (this was probably given to us during move-in as well, but I could not find it in our welcome packet). Security handled the most recent after-hours noise issue with these neighbors in October, and there have not been any problems with them since.
We do still have to be careful with deliveries, as not all package couriers are aware that they need to use the Amazon lockers. Some will still drop things off in front of our door, the foot of the stairs, or the clubhouse, from which places some neighbors or the couriers continue to steal packages. Food deliveries are especially inconsistent. I did try to have a recent weekday food delivery dropped off at the front office per management's response below, but the front office would not accept the delivery. (Perhaps I needed to notify them ahead of time?) With all that said, I would still recommend that anyone moving here avoid ordering a large volume of packages at one time to minimize the risk of anything being stolen, and to track food deliveries closely as well.
Original 10/2023:
Management here is great. Very regular communication from them when there are complex-wide maintenance issues, fast resolution of personal maintence requests, etc.
However, many of the residents here do not abide by complex policies. Residents work out in the gym barefoot despite posted notices to the contrary, several neighbors regularly break the complex's after-10pm quiet hours and allow their dogs to bark continually while unattended on their balconies, and we've had multiple packages/deliveries get stolen, at least one of which I can confirm was stolen by our next door neighbor.
I don't intend to move because the complex seems nice otherwise (I've lived here since late April) and is in a convenient location for work. However, it is frustrating to have to plan package deliveries around when we'll be home since our neighbors are not trustworthy, and I wouldn't recommend that anyone I know move here.
The management team is careless. Once you sign your lease, you are locked in. If any issues arise, they are quick to shut you down with no regard. I have had a terrible experience living in these apartments and I don’t recommend this environment for anyone long-term.
After living on this property for a year and going through the move out process (nothing negative, just moving closer to work), I can say that I genuinely had no major problems with Cortland. Any issues I had was more with annoying neighbors from time to time or other small issues that would have been out of their control. When we had maintenance issues, they were very good at addressing them in a timely manner. The move in and move out process was easy. The gates were sort of annoying because they didn't work half the time and had to be left open but never had any safety concerns other than a catching a couple people trying to open my door accidentally. The only thing I have to say thats sort of negative is the units are starting to look a little outdated and the lighting is not very good which lead to us having to invest heavily in lamps and other forms of lighting. Overall very well run apartment complex and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe and reliable place to live.
Just renewed my lease. This place is pretty good compared to the rest. The team really works with you and are very professional. I absolutely love the pool and the rest of the amenities!
